Bregenz Forest – the cheese route

80 minutes: Bregenz Forest is considered to be a cheese region in a class of its own. You can get close up and personal with the tasty Vorarlberg cheese at various stops from the farm over the Alps to show businesses and dairy farms. Even though the cheese still tastes fabulous beforehand, afterwards you will also understand why and can experience it in a whole new way.

Exploring the Ötztal

You can reach the Ötztal valley in about 40 minutes. It is worth visiting the Ötzi village there, which deals with the sensational find and lifestyle of earlier Alpine dwellers. A bit further into the valley you can get up really close to the glacier and in fact travel by train on the Tiefenbach up to 3,250 metres.

Bregenz and Lake Constance

The festival town of Bregenz by Lake Constance is situated 70 minutes away. Stroll leisurely through the Vorarlberg's regional capital, visit the world famous festival with massive stage on the lake or treat yourself to a day's swimming at this huge lake.
