Regardless of your motivation, hiking is worthwhile and the positive effects are enormous. St. Anton has numerous hiking trails for you to enjoy. Some guests choose to take the mountain railway up to the top of the path, or travel part of the way on the hiking bus. Cycling in all categories and gradients
Ambitious road cyclists love the steep gradients of the Arlberg and the valleys of Tyrol. Mountain-bike riders delight in the 200-plus kilometres of marked trails around St. Anton, and those who prefer to take it easy generally hire an e-bike and get a little bit of help to push their limits. The landscape is so beautiful that you'll be eager to get out and about on your bike.
Climbing and mountaineering
The Arlberg is an excellent region for climbing and offers numerous attractive options including fixed-rope ascents. If you take some climbing lessons, you'll soon find out that it's not all about muscles. Your first port of call is arl.rock, where you can learn the necessary safety precautions and basic skills. Your journey to the top will be much improved by a couple of lessons and the right climbing guide.
