The Sporthotel St. Anton is not part of any hotel chain. The hotel is run by the Schenner family, supported by a team, some of whom have been with the hotel for decades. Head chef Günther Berger has been working at the hotel for over 30 years, steakhouse chef Franky for over 25 years, and many staff members at reception, the restaurant and the bar have also been working there for 15 years or more.

Cuisine featuring Austrian produce at a hotel in Tyrol

• Breakfast: Breakfast buffet in the hotel’s own breakfast room on the first floor, with views over the pedestrian zone and the ski slopes.
• Half-board: Daily changing menus featuring Austrian specialities, a choice of dishes, a salad buffet and cheese. Meals are served in the hotel’s restaurants – Graf Montfort, Hubertusklausen and Jägerstüberl – exclusively for hotel guests. For a small surcharge, a steak from the steakhouse is available as a main course.
• Steakhouse St. Anton: Part of the hotel for over 40 years, making it the oldest steakhouse in the town. The menu features steaks from Austrian beef with the AMA Gastrosiegel, Austrian classics such as Wiener schnitzel and veal cheeks, salads, homemade desserts, as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes. The steakhouse is a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and is also open to day visitors.
• Café in the pedestrian zone: Austrian specialities, coffee and apple strudel served all day, along with fresh oysters and a view of the hustle and bustle in the town centre.
• In-house bar and wine cellar: The bar opens from 4 pm, with live piano music almost every day. Bartender Stavros mixes classic and bespoke cocktails, and from midnight onwards the 1950s Wurlitzer jukebox is often playing. The wine cellar focuses on Austrian winemakers, complemented by wines from France, Italy and Spain, including large bottles of up to 9 litres.

Activities in St. Anton in Tyrol

St. Anton is one of the most historic ski resorts in the Alps and has been at the forefront of the development of skiing right from the start. Today, the resort is a year-round destination for active holidaymakers: in winter on the slopes, cross-country trails and winter walking routes; in summer on hiking trails, cycle routes and climbing routes around the Arlberg. Many activities start right outside the hotel, whilst other destinations can be reached easily by ski and hiking buses.

Winter: Skiing and snowboarding in Austria’s largest interconnected ski area, freeriding, ski touring, heli-skiing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking and snowshoeing, tobogganing, as well as après-ski and nightlife within walking distance. With ski passes available directly at the hotel, free ski storage at the valley station and ski hire right next to the hotel, getting your day’s skiing off to a good start is easy.

Summer: Hiking up to the peaks, mountain biking and e-biking, climbing and via ferrata, rafting, canyoning and swimming in the surrounding mountain lakes. From the very first night, guests receive the St. Anton Summer Card free of charge.
