Winter hiking: Rosanna river walk
Flat winter walk along the Rosanna River
At around 18 km, the Rosanna River Walk is the longest tour in the winter trail network around St. Anton, but it is flat all the way with no notable climbs. It follows the course of the Rosanna river from St. Anton via Pettneu to Schnann and back.
The trail starts right in the village along the Rosanna, so there is no need to travel. In hard frost, ice crystals form on the alder trees along the riverbank, a lovely sight along the way.
Due to its length, the tour is best suited to winter hikers with stamina who want to plan a full day outdoors.
