Winter hiking - To the toboggan hut
Winter walk along the old railway line with toboggan fun
The walk to the toboggan hut combines a relaxed winter stroll with the prospect of some fun on the toboggan: the trail follows the old railway line to the Nassereinbahn and on to the hut on the toboggan run.
From the Sporthotel St. Anton, the route runs for around 3.5 km along the former railway line to the Nassereinbahn valley station, on foot and without any notable climbs. From there, you reach the hut on the toboggan run in around one hour in total from St. Anton. If you want to ride the full 4.3 km natural toboggan run back down to Nasserein, take the Nassereinbahn up to Gampen instead (cable car ticket required) and sled all the way down to the valley.
The tour is especially suited to families and anyone who wants to combine winter hiking with a bit of tobogganing, a great outing for a relaxed afternoon on the Arlberg.
