Winter Hiking - Verwall Winter Trail

Through the Verwall valley to Lake Verwall

The Verwall Winter Trail is one of the most popular longer winter hikes around St. Anton am Arlberg. From Mooserkreuz on the western edge of the village, the trail leads around 10 km through the Verwall valley to Lake Verwall and back.

From the Sporthotel St. Anton, the tour extends to around 14 km. You can reach Mooserkreuz in about 25 minutes on foot or in around 10 minutes by ski bus (line 6, Verwall bus), which is free with the St. Anton guest card during the day until 7 pm. Otherwise, a VVT ticket is required.

Along the way, the Rosanna gorge offers wide views, and the Wagner Hütte in the Verwall valley invites you to stop for a break. A cross-country ski trail also runs alongside the winter hiking trail.
